
Ingredients
Picnic Roll with Tangy
- Puff pastry dough/sheet
- Meat fillings (250 gr minced beef and corned beef)
- Boiled eggs
- Eggs to brush the pastry puff dough
- Brown onion
- Salt & pepper for seasoning
Steps
Prepare the Filling
- Combine minced beef, corned beef, and chopped onions. Season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
- Boil eggs and cut them into slices.
- Defrost puff pastry dough for 10 minutes.
Assemble the Pastry
- Take one sheet of puff pastry and brush it with egg.
- Place a thick layer of meat filling on the bottom half of the pastry dough.
- Place the boiled eggs (and cheese, if using) on top of the meat fillings.
- Cover the eggs with more meat fillings.
- Fold the pastry dough over the filling.
Bake and Serve
- Use a fork to press the sides and top of the pastry, allowing hot air to escape during baking.
- Brush the dough with egg.
- Bake at 200°C for 25-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the pastry cool, then cut into 5 slices.
- Serve garnished with salad, cucumber, or tomatoes and drizzle with Cafe 26 Tangy Salad Dressing. Enjoy!
